Srishti Seva Sansthan, a voluntary organization based in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, has been working to reduce HIV/AIDS incidence among high-risk populations, specifically men who have sex with men (MSM) and female sex workers (FSW). The organization aimed to reach 100% of the target population with services, promote behavior change through behavior change communication (BCC), and improve condom access and STI care.

The organization has been working in Maharajganj district, which has a high-risk population due to its location on the Indo-Nepal border. The district has a significant presence of high-risk groups, including FSWs and MSMs, who face socio-economic challenges that increase their vulnerability to HIV.

Srishti Seva Sansthan implemented various strategies to achieve its objectives, including outreach coverage, community mobilization, BCC, enabling environment, networking, and linkages. The organization established partnerships with government departments, hospitals, and other organizations to provide comprehensive services to the target population.

One key strategy was promoting condom use among the target population. The organization distributed condoms through outreach teams, peer educators, and depots and promoted condom purchasing behavior among the target population.

The organization established a monitoring and evaluation system, including regular monitoring and supportive supervision by outreach workers, counselors, and the project manager. The organization used a planning, daily diary, minutes, and reports (PDMR) system to track progress and established a documentation system to maintain records and reporting formats.

Overall, Srishti Seva Sansthan's project made significant progress in reducing HIV/AIDS incidence among high-risk populations in Maharajganj district. The organization's comprehensive approach, including outreach, community mobilization, BCC, and condom promotion, promoted behavior change and improved access to STI care among the target population.
