Srishti Seva Sansthan, a registered non-governmental organization, has been working to promote the right to live by addressing inequality in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. Gorakhpur district, located near the Indo-Nepal border, has a significant presence of high-risk groups due to human trafficking and other socio-economic factors. The district has a population of over 4.4 million, with a literacy rate of 60.8%.
Srishti Seva Sansthan has been working in Maharajganj district since 2012, implementing targeted intervention projects to reduce HIV/AIDS incidence among high-risk populations. The organization has registered significant progress, including reaching over 300 FSW and 150 MSM, providing STI check-ups and HIV testing, and promoting condom use through free distribution and social marketing.
The organization's goal is to reduce HIV/AIDS incidence among high-risk behaviours in Gorakhpur. Objectives include reaching 100% of FSW, MSM, and TG populations with services, promoting behaviour change through BCC, improving condom access, and providing quality STI care.
To achieve these objectives, Srishti Seva Sansthan will implement various strategies, including outreach coverage, community mobilization, BCC, advocacy, networking, and linkages. The organization will also establish partnerships with government departments, hospitals, and other organizations to provide comprehensive services to the target population.
Regular monitoring and evaluation will be conducted using the Planning, Daily Diary, Minutes, and Reports (PDMR) system. The organization will also maintain a documentation system to track progress and maintain records and reporting formats.
