Thematic Areas/ Areas of Focus: Our organization is dedicated to promoting holistic development and social justice through various initiatives. At the heart of our mission lies women empowerment, recognizing the critical role women play in shaping their families, communities, and societies. We strive to create an enabling environment where women can exercise their rights, make informed choices, and participate in decision-making processes. Complementing our women empowerment efforts, we also focus on gender equality, acknowledging the interconnectedness of social, economic, and cultural factors that influence gender dynamics. Our programs aim to challenge discriminatory norms, promote equal opportunities, and foster a culture of mutual respect and understanding. The well-being and protection of children are also paramount concerns for us. We work tirelessly to prevent child marriage, promote child rights, and ensure that children have access to quality education, healthcare, and protection from exploitation and abuse. In addition to our child-focused initiatives, we also empower youth by providing them with opportunities for education, skill development, and leadership training. By investing in the potential of young people, we aim to create a brighter future for themselves, their communities, and society at large. Our organization recognizes the importance of good governance, human rights, and poverty alleviation in creating an equitable and just society. We work to promote transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in governance processes, while also advocating for the protection and promotion of human rights. To address the pressing issue of poverty, we implement sustainable livelihood programs that enable individuals and communities to access resources, markets, and services. Our initiatives focus on enhancing income, improving food security, and reducing vulnerability to shocks and stresses. Health and nutrition are also critical components of our work. We implement programs to improve reproductive and child health (RCH), combat tuberculosis, and prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS. Our efforts aim to increase access to quality healthcare services, promote healthy behaviors, and reduce health inequities. Furthermore, we recognize the vital role agriculture plays in ensuring food security, promoting livelihoods, and protecting the environment. Our initiatives focus on sustainable agriculture practices, climate-resilient farming, and market access, ultimately aiming to improve the lives of farmers, their families, and communities. Lastly, we acknowledge the importance of environmental conservation and disaster management in reducing vulnerability and promoting sustainable development. Our programs aim to promote environmental awareness, support climate-resilient initiatives, and enhance disaster preparedness and response capacities. Community Mobilization:
The organization’s guiding principle is to make communities self-reliant. Community and Social mobilization is thus an important strategy for SSS to raise awareness in the community on Gender, Women's Rights, Food Security, Child rights, education, and health. For this purpose, SSS holds meetings with the community members, forming community groups like women’s group, farmer’s group (as per the need of project), conducts training/ capacity building sessions, and also launched campaigns.
Advocacy:
SSS advocacy efforts have contributed to the social/ rural/ community development, SSS has been advocating with local governing bodies, members of community, women groups and youth groups on Youth empowerment, Women and child rights, Health, food security, etc.
Networking: SSS has been involved in networking with other NGOs, CBOs, media groups, and concerned stakeholders for achieving the goal of sustainable development. Networking basically provides an opportunity for looking at the issues from different angles i.e. from the local and national levels. At every level the perspective of issue changes, which then helps in comprehending the issues.
Capacity Building:
Capacity building has been at the center stage of all the projects of SSS. The organization has been implementing community as well as facility-based sessions for the same.
Awareness Generation:
SSS is reaching out to the vulnerable population to create mass awareness as well as Behaviour Change Communication (BCC) on all the thematic areas. The organization believes in the philosophy that an educated and self-conscious society is the cornerstone of sustainable development.
Service Delivery:
SSS believes that very strong and efficient service delivery in the fields of health, education, and the environment is the need of the hour. For this purpose, SSS has been supporting service delivery in the communities in a transparent manner taking care of quantity and quality. This has helped in meeting the community needs and achieving the desired objectives.
