Srishti Seva Sansthan is a grassroots-level civil society organization based in Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh, India. Founded in 2000 by a group of young social workers, the organization is registered under the Society Registration Act 1860, Section 12AA and 80G of the IT Act 1961, the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act 1976, and CSR-1.
Our work focuses on gender justice, integrated child development, HIV/AIDS, and sustainable livelihoods in three districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, namely Maharajganj, Kushinagar, and Gorakhpur.
We aim to promote equality and social justice as an independent, registered, non-governmental, and nonprofit organization. We strive to empower marginalized communities, particularly women and adolescents, by promoting education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities.
Over the past two decades, we have collaborated with various partners, including the UP State AIDS Control Society, Tata Trust, and Hindustan Unilever Foundation.
Our organization has a strong presence in the Maharajganj, Kushinagar, and Gorakhpur districts, where we have been working for 20 years to empower women and children. We have mobilized community groups, including Nari Sangh, Kisan Sangh, and Adolscents Groups, which work within the legal framework to address local issues.
We impact 100,000 families through various initiatives, including livelihood promotion through agro-based and climate-resilient practices, HIV/AIDS prevention, government scheme welfare, and sexual reproductive health rights.
Our organizational structure consists of a seven-member board of directors, with two female members. We hold bi-annual board meetings to ensure transparency and accountability.
We have implemented various policies, including a code of conduct, human resource policy, prevention of sexual harassment at the workplace, finance policy, and child protection policy. These policies ensure that our organization maintains the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
