The project, which began on May 1, 2024, and will run until March 31, 2027, aims to promote climate resilience and water security among small and marginal farmers in Maharajganj district, Uttar Pradesh. The project focuses on five-gram panchayats: Ahamadpur, Jangal Farjand Ali, Sardiha, Badahara Rani, and Karmaha. During this intervention, Srishti Seva Sansthan organized several activities to promote climate resilience and water security among women farmers' groups. One of the major activities was a meeting with women farmers' groups to discuss the issues of climate change and water conservation. The organization also launched various activities, including a plantation drive, micro-irrigation systems, systematic integration, raised bed farming, mulching, and water budgeting, in the five-gram panchayats. Additionally, the organization held meetings with the Jain Irrigation team, the District Horticulture Office, and the Deputy Director of Agriculture to discuss promoting different schemes. Overall, Srishti Seva Sansthan has made significant progress in promoting climate resilience and water security among small and marginal farmers in Maharajganj district. The organization's efforts to promote sustainable agriculture practices and improve access to various schemes are expected to benefit 500 farmers in the region, helping them adapt to climate change.
