Wheat crop improves with the adoption of the SWI method

Srishti Seva Sansthan, a social organization, has been working towards women's empowerment for the last 24 years. To empower women, the organization adopted an agriculture-based livelihood strategy.

In the Sadar development block, Srishti Seva Sansthan organized women farmers from 15 Gram Panchayats and provided them with technical information on agriculture. As part of this initiative, the organization promoted the System of Wheat Intensification (SWI) method among women farmers to achieve higher yields at lower costs.

Fifteen women farmers adopted the SWI method for wheat cultivation. The results have been encouraging, with their wheat crop showing significant improvement compared to traditional farming methods.

SWI Method

Traditional Method
